Glenn Theodore Seaborg was born on April 19, 1912 and died on February 25, 1999 in Ishpeming, Michigan. He was an American scientist who had won the 1951 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for discoveries in the social chemistry of the transuranium instalments. He had also contributed to the discovery and closing off of tenner separate instalments and also developed the actinide concept. The ten elements that he had co discovered were: Plutonium, Americium, Curium, Berkelium, Californium, Einsteinium, Fermium, Mendelevium, Nobelium and element 106, seaborgium was named after him in his pay back while he was still alive. This was the rootage situation where an element was named after a person. Seaborg had discovered the element that makes nuclear bombs and he had also discovered radioisotopes used to serve millions of cancer patients. Seaborg had accomplishes a lot of things when he was alive. Things such as: * Discovering countless atomic isotopes and ten elements. * Chair man of the U.S Atomic zilch Commission below presidents Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon. * Co-founder and chairman of Lawrence Hall of Science. * Associate Director-at with child(p) of Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, (the rural areas first explore facility). * He was in the Guinness handwriting of World Records for having the longest gate in Whos Who in America. Seaborg had earned his PH.D in Chemistry at University of California, Berkeley. In 1939, he was appointed an teacher in chemistry where he was promoted to Assistant Professor of Chemistry. In 1946, he took responsibility for directing nuclear chemical look into at the Lawrence Radiation Laboratory. In 1942-1946 Seaborg was granted leave from Berkeley. In that period of time he worked on plutonium at the University of Chicago Metallurgical Laboratory. There, he led the team that was liable for devising the chemical mental process of the separation, concentration and isolation of Plutonium. All in all Seaborg had a good and triple! -crown life.
